The MOOoD

Another band close to my heart are THE MOOD. Band was born in 2006 in Bucharest.

In May 2008, The MOOoD came under the wing of Emagic Entertainment , and in July the band performed in the B'estfest biggest international music festival in Romania, having as headliners on Alanis Morisette, Kaiser Chiefs, Manu Chao and Cypress Hill. After B'estfest followed Lenny Kravitz concert in Bucharest, The MOOoD is only opening act approved by artist management, thus having the opportunity to sing in front of a
audience of over 16,000 people. The October 2008 marks the first abroad concert The MOOoD, with The Snails (brit-pop band from Moldova, performed at B'estfest 2009) in Chisinau, Moldova.

In 2009 The MOOoD performs in Holland and there they cought attention of european promoters that demanded an album. After some concerts in Romania with OCS, Go to Berlin and some others in summer 2009 band participate again at B'estfest with big names like Santana, The Killers, Moby, Motorhead and after B'estfest next to Exit Festival in Serbia where are together with The Prodigy, Korn etc.

The Mono Jacks

Another band on my playlist is "The Mono Jacks". They launched first album Now in stereo on 13 nov 2010 

at The Ark club in Bucharest and was for sale in digital on 12 march 2011. Unlike other bands they manage to sell music worldwide with one good sell page. I personally saw them last year in Bucharest and Galati. Good sound, good stage presence, young  and ambitious they fit my style and I like them. Certainly we will be hearing from them.

The Others

Another "romanian finest" is the funk band ""The Others".This guys are also fantastic! Vama Veche will be forever in my memory with sunny days on the beach of Black Sea and normal - cold beers beside! I have some photos that when i find them i will post some here to "clarify" what i am talking about.
Sorry for low quality of video. I saw them in 2008 and 2009 at Stufstock Festival. Still, they have no album - at least in my knowledge - sad that nobody want to help them to release at least one single. Maybe someone will. Personal I like them and I want all the best for them.

Luna Amara

  This blog is intend to be with - small steps -a gate into nice music and musicians from my country Romania. 
I'm sure you haven't heard so much about it.




        First of all I love to share with you some of good songs from a band named Luna Amara (Bitter Moon).
God, you'll really love this guys!
The band was born in 1999 in Cluj-Napoca and first name was Tanagra Noise. In 2000 name changed in Luna Amara -  Bitter Moon after the 1994 Roman Polanski's movie with Hugh Grant and Peter Coyote.

       My first contact with them was in 2009 in a place named Vama Veche (Old Customs) where I saw them at Stufstock Festival. Was love at first sight! Instantly I bought their hot album  "Don't let your dreams fall asleep" and, really is still in my car!
In fall of 2010 they opened Ozzy Osbourne Concert in Bucharest.
